Dear Friend,

Tonight, the full City Council will be voting to kick-start the City's 3-year paving plan. We all have been waiting long enough and are ready to see our Measure KK dollars used to pave our streets!

1) I urge all of my Council colleagues to vote to have the paving plan implemented.

2) In addition to the streets that are incorporated in the 3-year paving plan, the Administration allocated $470,000 as discretionary funds for each Councilmember for street paving in their district. On Tuesday, April 23rd at the Public Works Committee, I fought for and won an amendment that more than double District Councilmember’s discretionary fund to $1 million for each Council District and $500K for the At-Large Member.

Background: The 3-year paving plan was develop under a new metric that takes into account equity, density, and street condition - all very important factors. However, that leaves serious gaps in improving our infrastructure in District 4 and that is why I fought for an amendment for an increase in dollars for paving in each Council District.

3) Equally important. The Administration has just let me know that they will be conducting a POTHOLE BLITZ (12-hour work days w/ extra crews) in District 4 on June 4, 5 and 6th!! SO PLEASE, report your potholes by calling 311 or using the app. Please share this email with your neighbors to spread the word of this Call To Action!
